World of Warcraft: Legion, the sixth expansion of the popular PC MMO game, will be released on August 30. It was announced by Blizzard Entertainment today.
WoW: Legion was introduced at Gamescom 2015. The newest game expansion will have some new important features. First of all, it will increase the level cap to 110. There will also be a new continent, The Broken Isles, added. World of Warcraft: Legion will also have new customizable artifact weapons, new dungeons and raids. Furthermore, WoW: Legion will also have an updated PvP system.
As Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime said in his announcement, “Legion opens and thrilling new chapter in one of the Warcraft series’ greatest conflicts, and things will never be the same for some of Azeroth’s most iconic heroes and villains.” He also mentioned new game features: “This expansion is loaded with features and content that give players whole new ways to explore the world and customize their heroes. We’re looking forward to sending everyone into battle against the Burning Legion this August.”
The price of Standard Edition of WoW: Legion will be $50 and for a Digital Deluxe edition you will have to pay $70. This special edition also includes content for other Blizzard games: Diablo III, Heroes of the Storm and StarCraft II. These editions are available in both formats: physical and digital.
A retail-only Collector’s Edition will also be available and it will cost $90. World of Warcraft: Legion Collector’s Edition will include a hardcover art book, behind-the-scenes two-disc Blu-ray/DVD set, CD soundtrack and a WoW: Legion mousepad. It will also include the digital items from the Digital Deluxe edition.
You can get an instant character boost to level 100 if you pre-buy a digital copy of Standard or Digital Deluxe WoW: Legion. You will also get an early access to the Demon Hunter class if you pre-purchase the game.
As World of Warcraft: Legion is already a sixth expansion of the game. It already have contained: The Burning Crusade(2007), Wrath of the Lich King (2008), Cataclysm (2010), Mists of Pandaria(2012), and Warlords of Draenor (2014). There has been information circulating about World of Warcraft subscribers sliding so the newest expansion is expected to bring those former WoW players back. It is very likely as in previous years new expansions used to do that as well.
